Advance Iota 2, Jungfrau – Interlaken

[ENG] We were recently invited to visit the Advance Paragliders premises in Thun, Switzerland, along with a few other international paragliding communicators (Flybubble, Paragliding Mag and Voler), to exclusively meet and try the new high EN B paraglider from the Swiss manufacturer, Iota 2. It was a privilege to receive these gliders to test them thoroughly before the official launch to the market in early 2018. But the best was that the Advance team acted as a top level host and, after some interesting technical talks, led us to Grindelwald for two wonderful winter flights. This flight was the most exciting of the two, since we were taken by train to Jungfrau Station at 3.466m of altitude above sea level. Jungfrau is an extraordinary place, the highest train station in Europe, where you can also find a viewpoint, shopping stores, an ice palace, and other curiosities. The day conditions for flying were not easy, and until the last moment we did not know if we could take off. Finally, we could go out and see the north face of the mythical Eiger from the air, while enjoying a nice and long glide down to Interlaken. In this first flight I could only verify that the Iota 2 features a very noble inflation; the glide ratio is spectacular, well above what I expected, and the brake touch is direct and progressive conveying accuracy and safety at all times.

Advance Iota 2

In this first flight I could only verify that the Iota 2 features a very noble inflation; the glide ratio is spectacular, well above what I expected, and the brake touch is direct and progressive conveying accuracy and safety at all times. Soon our full review here on Ojovolador.com
