We are including here the communicate sent by FIA organizers about it being postponed, as well as the VI XC Paragliding Open. Both events were going to take lace at the beginning of June, but they will be put off, probably until September.

Saturday 7th of March was due to be the 1st training day in Baixo Guandu, but as our reporter onsite Paolo Bellezze explains: "That's not going to happen". Bad weather in the area means that there will be more Brazilian fun on the ground than in the air these days. Here's what the competitors have been up to.

On the 15th of February 2019, two paragliders were soaring above the Horcones Valley that leads to Aconcagua. The Czech Gabriel Mazur and his French buddy Jean-Baptiste Chandesris completed the ascent of the highest summit of Americas and paraglided down from it. This expedition for them was a preparation for higher objectives in the Himalayas. I was lucky to meet with Gabriel in Mendoza, Argentina, where he told me about his flight from one of the seven summits

"Day 2, we finally had a flyable task, and what a task it was! After 4 days of solid bad weather, this morning waking up felt different. It must have been that bird-like instinct pilots have.
