The brand from Rožnov pod Radhoštěm expands its range with the Mac Para Elixir, an EN-C two-line solo wing available in four sizes, with 73 cells and a 6.68 aspect ratio across all of them. Top speed of 56-58 km/h on full bar. In-flight weights from 80 to 119 kg.

Mac Para’s EN-C range has always sparked debate. The Elan 3 for those who want kilometres without complications. The Verve for those who already have experience and want to push. And now, slotting in just above the Verve and below the Magus EN-D, comes the Elixir: the Czech brand’s most ambitious offering in the category.
The stated goal during development was clear — to get close to EN-D glide and speed performance while keeping passive safety within EN-C limits. Engineering at the service of the sport pilot, with no compromise on either front.
The Mac Para Elixir builds on technology proven in the Verve — the Rigi-Foil Nitinol reinforcements and the internal structure we already know — but goes up a significant step: 73 cells, a more refined profile and a uniform 6.68 aspect ratio across all four sizes. To put it in context with today’s high-end EN-C benchmarks: the BGD Cure 3 leads the group with 6.7, followed by the Elixir with 6.68, while the Ozone Photon, the GIN GTO 3, the Advance Tau DLS and the UP Torre sit between 6.45 and 6.5. On paper, that difference translates into greater aerodynamic efficiency, especially in transitions and accelerated glide.
As for wing weight: 4.00 kg in size S, 4.35 in M, 4.55 in L and 4.92 in XL. Figures that position it well for cross-country, hike-and-fly and vol-biv alike, where every gram counts by the tenth kilometre of the climb.

What stands out most about the Mac Para Elixir is that Mac Para does not try to hide what it is: a wing for pilots with hours in thermals, who already know how to read the air and want a tool that responds to that reading. It is not designed to let you drop your guard — it is designed so that the flying you already know how to do takes you further and faster.
Fine handling in weak conditions, collapse resistance and accelerated behaviour will be the key points to assess once the first real flights arrive. Certification with trimmers is still in progress, a detail to watch for pilots looking for that extra versatility in XC.
At Ojovolador we will follow the development of the Mac Para Elixir paraglider closely. And hopefully we will soon have one available to give you our own impressions from the air.
